Sow 2026

Make your own Word of the Year Coloring Page

“So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. For we are co-workers in God’s service, you are God’s field, God’s building.”
— 1 Corinthians 3:7-9 (NIV)

As I look toward 2026, I sense a clear invitation to SOW, to serve faithfully in God’s field, trusting Him with the growth.

I am not sure this will be a year of visible harvest or sweeping victory across every domain of my life. As a mother of three young children, all five and under, my days are filled with tending, with watering these little seedlings again and again. Much of my time is spent nurturing not only their physical needs, but also intentionally depositing seeds for spiritual formation and growth.

My prayer for 2026 is to work this Kingdom field of motherhood with grace and beauty, something that, quite honestly, feels like a daily struggle. As I tend to the needs of our home, I ask God to sow my own heart with deeper patience and compassion, so I may faithfully raise these beautiful children in loving partnership with my wise husband.

This year also feels like a call to humbly sow within my community. There are no great excursions planned, only the steady faithfulness of showing up, caring for patients and coworkers, communing with friends, completing daily errands, and keeping weekly appointments. May my eyes be open to truly see the people God places before me, and may my words be seasoned with grace and truth, planting seeds of the Good News that, in time, may produce a hundredfold harvest.

I sense a continued call to sow seeds of faith, to follow the Great Commission, and to sow faithfully in the work God has entrusted to me. To remain steadfast in my calling as a physical therapist, continuing to learn and grow as time allows, coming alongside others in their journeys of health and wellness as we walk this side of eternity together.

And with Breath Beads, I feel invited to continue laying seeds through select projects, through writing, creating, and cultivating meaningful tools for connection. My hope is that in this season, some beautiful things will be planted, take root, and perhaps begin to sprout. Yet, as in all things done for faith and in faith, I remember that only God can make them grow.

May this prayer from my heart bless yours as well:

Great Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the invitation into Kingdom work, to serve in Your field.
Strengthen my hands, steady my soul,
and supply my spirit with Your grace, ability, and character
to sow something beautiful in this season.
May my work in this field be blessed by Your goodness,
and may You grow a bountiful and splendid harvest
for Your eternal glory.
Amen.
